Eng. Omar joined Emaar Middle East on 29 July 2006. He has over 20 years of experience in Architecture with large organizations. As part of Emaar Middle East Team, Eng. Omar was entrusted with the responsibility of managing Jeddah Gate Project from the Feasibility Study phase which includes the market research to the Design and product launching phase. Eng. Omar is a holder of a Bachelor degree in Architecture from Alexandria University in Egypt. In addition to that, he is currently pursuing a Master degree in City& Regional Planning from King Fahed University for Petroleum and Minerals, KSA.
Currently Eng. Omar is occupying a position of Director, Development and his main responsibilities are:
- Coordinate the preparation of differing development strategies based on preliminary master plans for the submission of Project Business Plans and Land Development Strategies.
- Access new development opportunities within all product and geographic markets including those development opportunities being pursued by the GM
- Apply the principles of Total Quality Management throughout all aspects of the Division’s business activities.
- Develop internal systems, procedures and practices designed to continually enhance the efficiency of the Division’s activities.
- Ensure that the process and methodology of preparing commercial feasibility studies is standardized throughout the business
- Undertake commercial negotiations with investors and financiers.
- Determine land management strategies for each development, i.e. hold/ sell, level of pre-commitment, term of ground lease, etc.
