David Cash is an architect with over 30 years experience in the design of retail led city centre regeneration projects, transport, housing and also universities. A director of BDP, Europe’s largest building design organisation, David led BDP’s four northern offices for fourteen years. During this time he was closely involved with major city centre regeneration projects in Manchester and Liverpool comprising new shopping, housing, office buildings and Manchester’s new main railway station at Piccadilly.
In 2008, David became BDP’s International Development Director responsible for leading the firm’s expansion to become a global design organisation. This involves opening new offices around the world as well as designing more internationally based projects from the UK offices. To date, new BDP studios have been established in Abu Dhabi, Delhi and Shanghai, where David has helped secure new commissions.
At the same time, David has led some important international design commissions such as the development of 10 university campuses across Libya for ODAC, a shopping centre in Stockholm, the Vasco da Gama retail and residential development in Lisbon and the modernisation and extension of the Trade Rows of GUM in Moscow. |
